LiCAN Resources expands Kisbey land position and strengthens lithium resource base in Saskatchewan

LiCAN Resources Inc., a subsidiary of Ad Terra, has strengthened its position in Saskatchewan’s emerging lithium brine sector with the expansion of its Kisbey land holdings and the confirmation of a 45% increase in Inferred Lithium Resources, reflecting the project’s continued growth and potential.

Saskatchewan is rapidly establishing itself as a promising region for lithium brine development, supported by favourable geological conditions and strategically located resource areas. The Kisbey project, situated in southeast Saskatchewan, benefits from these advantages, particularly within the Williston Basin where lithium concentrations have been measured at up to 259 mg/L in underground brines within a 20 km radius of LiCAN’s acreage.

LiCAN Resources has recently expanded its land position by 15,550 hectares through its successful participation in the province’s July Public Offering. This addition brings the company’s total holdings to 309 km², reinforcing the scale of the Kisbey project and enabling broader evaluation of the region’s resource potential. This expansion directly contributed to a 45% increase in Inferred Lithium Resources, confirmed through an updated NI 43-101 Resource Assessment conducted by Sproule ERCE. The Kisbey asset now reports 1.191 million tons of Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (LCE) Inferred Resources, marking a significant advancement in the project’s maturity.

In addition to its geological strengths, the project’s proximity to Estevan provides direct access to key transportation routes, supporting future supply pathways to North American battery manufacturers and strengthening its strategic relevance within the continental battery supply chain.

This latest milestone highlights Ad Terra Group’s ongoing commitment to developing sustainable lithium resources in North America, positioning the Kisbey project as a growing contributor to the region’s evolving energy and materials landscape.
